Western Diagnostic Pathology

This is Western Diagnostic Pathology's new 6,000m2central laboratory and Perth head office located in Jandakot Airport Holdings Precinct 4.

DEM has extensive commissioning and laboratory experience, which we employed to de-risk the project through design reviews, and then working with the design team to ensure all gaps were subsequently closed. 

We then acted as commissioning manager on behalf of the builder. Through building strong relationships with the contractors and clarifying the commissioning requirements from very early in the project, we were able to assist in delivering a defect-free building prior to PC. Other areas where we added value included the design of witness tests; managing the pre-commissioning and witnessing process; chairing and minuting meetings; managing and tracking the commissioning documentation; and problem-solving and working with the builder to create and maintain the commissioning program.

DEM highlighted numerous commissioning activities that required early attention and commissioning/ construction methodologies such as the negative and positive pressure rooms and integrated fire and black start testing.

We are now assisting PS Structure through managing scheduled maintenance through-out the DLP.
