Sam Kerr Football Centre

DEM was responsible for the mechanical services design for the recently completed Sam Kerr Football Centre.  

Alongside the new pitches, the centre provides a combination of viewing and seating facilities; areas for administration, training and recovery; and community and catering facilities. 

DEM added value to the project by designing energy-efficient mechanical services, utilising heat recovery, mixed-mode functions and CO2 controls to manage the internal environment.

The project is currently in its first year of operation and has already been extensively used during the Women’s World Cup 2023, when it became the Denmark team’s base. At time of writing, the facility is being used by the Matildas as they prepare for three important international fixtures.
