RAC Head Office Boiler Replacement Feasibility Study

DEM was engaged to conduct a feasibility study to assess suitable mechanical heating solutions to replace the existing boiler system. The study evaluated potential upgrade options to improve system efficiency and operational reliability, while also considering RAC's commitment to reducing carbon emissions. As part of the assessment, DEM also provided a future outlook on carbon emissions associated with each option, based on the current emissions intensity of the South West Interconnected System (SWIS) grid and its projected decarbonisation trajectory, in line with the Western Australian Government targets.

RAC Head Office Chiller Replacement Feasibility Study

The existing chilled and condenser water plant for this building was reaching end of life. DEM was engaged to undertake a site condition assessment of the plant to determine the extent of replacement works required. Based on this assessment, we identified constraints relevant to the replacement and developed a recommended scope of works, alongside a Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) estimate for the chiller replacement, to support RAC's planning and decision-making.
